The University of Ghana has launched additional general education programs that introduce students to the multifaceted nature of Russia – from ancient cathedrals to the rugged beauty of the North.
What are students learning about this time?
«The Golden Ring of Russia: The Living History of Ancient Cities»: During the program, students journeyed to the heart of Russian civilization. Sergiev Posad, Suzdal, Vladimir, Yaroslavl – students have already begun to explore the architecture, legends, and everyday life of these cities.
«Communicative Etiquette in a Russian-Speaking Environment: Verbal and Nonverbal Aspects»: It’s one thing to learn grammar, another to understand why a smile can be embarrassing to a stranger, and why body language has dozens of meanings.
«Linguistic and Regional Studies of the Russian North: Nature, Peoples, and Culture»: Students discover a region where the harsh climate has fostered amazingly hospitable people.
«Russia’s Natural Wealth: From Mountain Peaks to the Depths of the Sea»: From Lake Baikal to Kamchatka, from the Baltic to the Pacific Ocean—learn about the amazing natural diversity of our country.
We wish our dear listeners good luck on this fascinating journey into the world of Russian language and culture!
The project is being implemented by the «My History» Foundation for the Support of the Humanities with the support of the Russian Ministry of Education.
