Alexander Kuptsov and Valeria Kravets have returned to their native Yaroslavl land with wonderful memories and a sea of impressions from their interactions with African students.
Over two months of intensive work, the colleagues implemented 6 additional general developmental programs, each of 72 hours: «Russian Language in Professional Communication,» «Russian Statehood: What You Need to Know About Governance in Russia,» «Meeting at A.S. Pushkin’s: Life and Work of the Russian Poet,» «Spiritual and Moral Values of the Russian People,» «Student and School Movements: How Russian Youth Lives,» and «Musical Geography: Instruments and Dances of the Peoples of Russia.» The colleagues also held two events for 2nd-4th year students of the University of Ghana: an educational event «Getting a Job. The Interview» and an enlightening event «The Creative Legacy of A.S. Pushkin. The Tale of the Fisherman and the Fish.»
The educational process concluded with testing for the level of Russian language proficiency (A1, A2, B1), the presentation of certificates for event participants and certificates for program attendees, as well as a celebration dedicated to the end of the academic year at the University of Ghana.
We wholeheartedly thank our teachers and wish success to all the African students mastering the Russian language and immersing themselves in Russian culture. We thank the «My History» Foundation for their support in promoting the Russian language and culture in African countries.
