Throughout September, the YSPU Center for Open Education in Côte d’Ivoire was actively engaged with students. Work was conducted with 4th-grade college students and 3rd-5th-grade primary school pupils at the Groupe Scolaire Le Muguet educational institution, as well as with students at the Abidjan University Institute (IUA).
The children were introduced to the Russian language for the first time. Some students expressed a desire to continue their studies in Yaroslavl and have already submitted documents to study the Russian language at YSPU.
YSPU instructors will continue their work, now across four platforms of the YSPU Center for Open Education: the Methodist University, the ETIC University, the Félix Houphouët-Boigny University, and the University Institute of Abidjan.
Starting from October 7, 2024, with the support of the Russian Ministry of Education and the «My History» Foundation for Support of Humanitarian Sciences, the implementation of 6 additional general education programs (each with a scope of 72 hours), outreach and educational events, as well as testing of students for their level of proficiency in Russian as a foreign language are planned.
This year, YSPU lecturers Lyudmila Titova and Elizaveta Mayorova have gone to Côte d’Ivoire to implement these programs. Let’s wish them fruitful work!
