

The city of Man is a large city in western Côte d’Ivoire. 241,969 people live here. Local residents and tourists call Man the «city of 18 mountains» because of its nature. The city is surrounded by hills, forests, and waterfalls.
Its surroundings are famous worldwide. Five kilometers from the city, there is a bamboo forest, two mountains: Mont Tonkoui and La Dent de Man, and the La Cascade waterfall. Mount Tonkoui is the highest mountain in western Côte d’Ivoire. Its height is 1,189 meters. The La Cascade waterfall is one of the most beautiful in the country.
The city’s residents grow cocoa trees, rice, coffee, and bananas. Monkeys and rare birds live in the forests.
Tourists often come here to attend carnivals, holidays, and the mask festival.
