In the north of Ghana, there is the village of Paga. Here, for centuries, people have lived alongside crocodiles. For local residents, these predators are sacred animals.
Today, about a hundred crocodiles of various sizes live in Paga – from small to large. Large crocodiles grow up to 4-5 meters. They freely walk around the village and calmly rest by the ponds.
Local residents can approach the crocodiles, touch them with their hands, and even feed them. They bathe together with crocodiles in the lake, fish there, and wash their clothes.
Paga Village is a popular tourist destination. They come here to take pictures on the backs of dangerous predators.
