«Additional education of children as a tool for the formation of relevant competencies of schoolchildren»

The webinar within the thematic area of «Additional education of children as a tool for the formation of relevant competencies of schoolchildren», which took place on 13 November as part of the international platform «Educational Dialogue: Our Common Future’, presented the priority areas for the development of the national system of additional education in the Kyrgyz Republic.

The speaker of the webinar was D.S. Musina, Director of the Republican Educational and Methodological Centre for Aesthetic Education «Balazhan», President of the Eurasian Association for Additional Education of Children, Ph.D. in Pedagogy (Kyrgyz Republic).

D.S. Musina presented to the webinar participants the priorities of the current stage of development of out-of-school additional education in Kyrgyzstan: qualitative renewal of its content and forms of organisation; ensuring accessibility and new opportunities for formation of various competencies of students for professional self-determination and success in the global and regional labour markets; civic and patriotic qualities, traditional national values. In addition, the characteristics of the education system of the Kyrgyz Republic are described: implementation of the state language policy; digitalisation and networking; organisation of the activities of creative and children’s public organisations; ensuring equal access to additional out-of-school education for children from rural areas and children in difficult social conditions; interaction with parents, etc.

The speaker presented the events of international and national importance which are traditionally held under the chairmanship of the Kyrgyz Republic with the participation of the Eurasian Association for Additional Education of Children: the festivals «Issyk-Kul Gathers Friends», «I am a Kyrgyz and I am proud of it» and others. Special attention was paid to the development of the human resource potential of extracurricular additional education, the organisation of national and international training courses with the participation of colleagues from Russia, and the organisation of cooperation between the pedagogical community of Kyrgyzstan and other countries of the post-Soviet space.
