Yaroslavl State Pedagogical University (YSPU) named after K.D. Ushinsky continues its active work on the «Russian Dream» Centers for Open Education project. The project is being implemented with the support of the Ministry of Education of the Russian Federation, in accordance with the goals and objectives of the state program «Development of Education,» which is aimed at the full functioning and development of the Russian language in friendly countries.

As a result of the cooperation agreements signed in March 2023 between YSPU and universities in the Republic of Côte d’Ivoire and the Republic of Ghana, Open Education Centers will commence their work in these countries in October. A series of large-scale in-person programs for teaching the Russian language will be implemented there.

The newly purchased multimedia equipment is already ready for use. Furthermore, the university has today received textbooks for teaching the Russian language at the Open Education Centers in Ghana and Côte d’Ivoire.

The shipment includes 12 different titles of textbooks for students, as well as educational and methodological literature for teachers of Russian as a foreign language. The materials will be delivered to the universities in Abidjan and Accra by the time the Centers open.
