Promoting the Russian language, Russian culture, and Russian education, developing cultural and humanitarian cooperation, shaping a positive image of the Russian Federation, fostering an understanding of the unique traditional culture of the peoples of Russia, their worldview and perspectives to support and strengthen the position of the Russian language worldwide, preserving ethno-cultural and linguistic identity, providing access to Russian education, science, and culture, stimulating interest in learning Russian to expand international political, economic, scientific, educational, and cultural-humanitarian cooperation between the Russian Federation and African countries (Côte d’Ivoire) –  these are the key objectives implemented within the framework of the Festival.

The festival format includes peripheral venues with an exhibition area of drawings by African schoolchildren and students titled «I Draw Russia,» a masterclass on playing Russian folk instruments, a cinema hall for watching Ushinsky’s fairy tales performed by YSPU students, a photo zone with Ded Moroz and Snegurochka for taking pictures, a play area with Russian games for children, and a Russian cuisine section with Russian tea and treats from Russia. The main festival venue will feature a concert program with performances by Russian teachers and African students, including Russian songs, dances, and poetry.

Additionally, as part of the Festival, the results of the professional development program for partner university teachers on the use of information and communication technologies in education, led by YSPU instructors (e-course), will be summarized. Teachers who completed this course, which launched in October, will be awarded. The results of the «I Learn Russian» Competition in Russian Language and Literature for schoolchildren and students who have not studied Russian, as well as for students who have studied Russian, will also be announced.
