On December 18, a solemn ceremony was held to award certificates for Russian language proficiency to students from universities in Côte d’Ivoire (ETIC, UMESI, and Félix Houphouët-Boigny). The ceremony, which was held in two stages, was attended by Alexey Eduardovich Saltykov, the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Russian Federation to Côte d’Ivoire and, concurrently, to Burkina Faso.

100 Ivorian students received state-certified certificates for their level of Russian language proficiency, and 50 certificates for completing a Russian language course were awarded on behalf of the Rector of Yaroslavl Pedagogical University. The award ceremony was conducted by Elena Igorevna Boychuk and Khristina Gennadievna Kosogorova.
