On July 26, an educational event titled «The Creative Legacy of A.S. Pushkin: The Tale of the Fisherman and the Fish» was held.
June 6, 2024, marked the 225th anniversary of Alexander Pushkin’s birth. To celebrate this occasion, first and second-year students of the University of Ghana gathered to learn more about the life and work of this great Russian poet and to reinforce the knowledge they had gained in their classes.
The event began with poetry recitations. Second-year student Oforiwaa Charlotte performed the poem «Thou and You,» and first-year student Rommel Kofi Opoku recited «I Loved You.» Their performances deeply impressed everyone in the audience. Following this, the students delivered a presentation summarizing key information about Alexander Sergeevich Pushkin’s life and work.
And then came the drama!
The second-year students transformed into the characters of «The Tale of the Fisherman and the Fish.» The performance was unforgettable: emotions, costume changes, and applause all contributed to creating a special atmosphere within the walls of the Center for Open Education. To conclude the event, the participants received certificates and small prizes brought from Russia.
