HOW TO BEGIN STUDYING IN RUSSIA
Yaroslavl State Pedagogical University named after K.D. Ushinsky invites foreign nationals to enroll in the additional general education program:
«Russian language and culture of the Russian people in the modern world»
This program prepares students for mastering professional educational programs in Russian.
The program consists of 4 modules:
Russian as a Foreign Language
The program is aimed at developing communication skills and forming language competence. It includes:
• Phonetics, grammar, and vocabulary;
• Cultural studies aspects;
• Development of listening, reading, speaking, and writing skills.
Levels of training: from beginner (A1) to intermediate (B1) in accordance with the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages (CEFR).
Russian Literature
The program covers:
• The main stages of development of Russian literature;
• Key literary movements;
• Biographies of writers and their influence on world culture.
History of Russia
The program includes:
• An overview of key events from ancient times to the present day;
• Analysis of political, economic, social, and cultural aspects;
• Work with historical sources.
Social Studies
The program examines:
• Fundamentals of sociology, economics, political science, and law;
• Principles of the functioning of the state and economy of the Russian Federation.
Duration of study: 10 months (September – June).
Documents for Enrollment
1. School leaving certificate (high school diploma) / University diploma with the supplement (transcript of records).
2. Passport (must be valid for at least 1.5 years at the time of application).
TUITION FEES
The tuition fee is: 140,000 Russian Rubles.
Monthly living expenses depend on lifestyle and individual needs.
