In Abidjan, the economic capital of Côte d’Ivoire, stands St. Paul’s Cathedral. It is one of the most beautiful Catholic cathedrals in Africa.
This Catholic cathedral was built in 1985. The country’s first president, Félix Houphouët-Boigny, wanted this cathedral to be built in Côte d’Ivoire.
St. Paul’s Cathedral was built in a modern style. Its height is 100 meters. The shape of the cathedral resembles the figure of Saint Paul and his cloak. The cathedral’s roof is blue. Inside, there are stained-glass windows and a statue of Saint Paul. The statue’s height is 12 meters. You can enter inside and go up to a special viewing platform. There is a good view of the city from there, and you can take beautiful photos.
